FYI, though, I can tell you aren't an American because it's RC cola, not VC. (VC stands for "venture capital," another but very different American invention.) I have no idea what RC stands for but I remember the cola very well.
Reminds me of the Steve Jobs book in which his CEO, Mike Sculley, was selling Pepsi before he moved to apple. Jobs asked him "Do you want to sell sugared water for the rest of your life or do you want to change the world?" Or something to that effect. Thank goodness Bret Lott took up writing.

I completely agree. There is something deliciously exciting about a good bookshop, and an independent one can feel like a treasured gem, your own special secret. One day we'd love to step inside your bookshop. Our last year has been tremendously tumultuous-if I was a writer, it would have given me much material to mould and weave into a book or two. We're both so glad you're doing something you love.

i was one of the writers listening to this talk and every word that was said rang true. I shall never buy another book on Amazon. Every book will come from your bookshop.Why? because I've waited a long time to find someone mad enough to launch an English bookshop in Lausanne.
